I have never really taken the time to really learn functional programming. In 2006 I took a course in Haskell but really never bothered to understand what I was doing.
Now that I have been developing in imperative languages like C, C++, Java and Python - both profesionally and on my spare time - since 2008 I feel like it is time to give functional programming another shot.
A couple of days ago I signed up for the Coursera course "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" that I will spend the upcoming weeks getting through. Besides that I also tried some Erlang and Haskell just for the fun of it.
Will give a review on the Coursera course in a couple of weeks.
