I just came across the term "covariant" in the context of Generic Modifiers in C#. Apparently "Covariance enables you to use a more derived type than that specified by the generic parameter."
To me the above sentence is just mumbo jumbo. I need to look into what this means in practice and why and when I would benefit from "covariance".
